Environmental Commission advances data center ordinance to governing body
Environmental Commission · Meeting of May 28, 2026
NJ SPARTA — Sparta Environmental Commission advances comprehensive data center regulation framework toward governing bodies. The panel agreed to send a draft ordinance to both the Master Plan Subcommittee and Township governing body for review, with members to submit revisions by early June. The proposal incorporates state guidance on prevailing-wage job creation, energy and water-usage transparency, and community engagement.
